Protect Your Money: Must-Have Account Alerts

Account alerts are a powerful tool to help safeguard your finances and keep things on track. These notifications can be tailored to fit your needs, ensuring you’re always in the loop. Setting up alerts is quick and easy. Simply log in to Online or Mobile  Banking, go to Settings, select Alerts, and add a New Alert—or start with the default security alerts. 

Here are some key alerts to consider:

Balance Alerts

Low Balance Alert 
Get notified when your balance drops below a set threshold, helping you avoid overdraft fees.

High Balance Alert 
Receive notifications when your account exceeds a certain amount so you can transfer funds to savings or investments, making your money work harder for you.

Pro Tip: Select 'Available Balance' under Account Balance Type to track your spendable funds.

Transaction Alerts

Large Purchase Alert 
Set a custom limit to monitor big transactions and quickly spot any unauthorized spending.

Card Use Alert 
Keep tabs on all purchases made with your debit or credit card to stay on top of your spending.

Security Alerts

Profile Change Alert 
Get notified if any changes are made to your account details, protecting you from potential fraud.

External Transfer Alert 
Be alerted to any external transactions to monitor both authorized and unauthorized activity.

Beware of Scams
Be cautious of phishing or smishing scams that mimic account alerts. CommonWealth will never request sensitive information such as your Secure Access Code, Personal Identification Number (PIN), Social Security Number, or passwords. If you’re uncertain about any message you receive, contact us directly or log in to Online or Mobile Banking to verify the alert.
